NRC Donates Generator to Hurricane Impacted Bahamas
Between October 4th and 6th, 2016, Category 4 hurricane Matthew barreled through several islands in the Caribbean, including Haiti, Cuba and the Bahamas, causing massive destruction, power outages and widespread flooding. Downed trees and powerlines made some roads impassable; houses and other buildings suffered damage from flooding and the over 155mph winds. Hurricane Matthew then continued on to the U.S. Southeastern coast, wreaking havoc in Florida and South Carolina. At least 276 people have died in Haiti, the Dominican Republic and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
To aid in relief efforts, NRC Electronics purchased and donated a 2.2 kW Gasoline powered generator. The generator was gifted to residents in one of the affected areas in the Bahamas.
